Minivir (mĭn'ə-vər) is a contemporary women's clothing line designed by Texas native Leesie Pool. The spring/summer 2009 range will be availble for wholesale purchase beginning in August.
what: tough-elegant pants, tailored jackets, and sleek jersey and painted silk separates.
who: Leesie cut her teeth sewing theater costumes at Rice while studying English and Fine Art. She graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2007 with a BFA Fashion Design. She also enjoys Tex-Mex, uncomfortable shoes, tribal bellydance, medieval literature, and her lop-eared rabbit.
philosphy: clothes that can go from punk to put-together, day to evening.
most profound fashion moment: almost getting kicked out of a class at the neighboring all boys' school for having magenta hair.
goal: to prove that NYC is not the center of the universe!
